Original: Hannah and her four siblings came into MAESSR’s care from a shelter in Maryland. A shelter volunteer took them into her home for a few days until they were moved into MAESSR foster homes.
Hannah is a true Springer love bug. She is always running with her face up looking to see who wants to love on her. She still hasn’t given up on the resident 9-year-old Springer who feels she is too old for all this puppy nonsense. Hannah will flatten her whole body and inch her way up to the resident girl, wagging her tail, and then roll her body up against hers. When that didn’t work, Hannah decided she would just roll around a few inches away so the resident Springer girl could see how cute she really was. Hannah loves playing with her brother Joe and can pin him in two seconds flat even though he is bigger than she is. If Joe is getting bossy at meal times, Hannah will lie down with nose down, tail up in the air, and bark at him.
Hannah loves the yard and loves chasing anything that flies. Butterflies, flies, dandelions, and leaves are all wonderful to Hannah. Hannah would love a forever family with a fenced in yard so she can play away.
When Hannah’s foster family is away she spends time gated in the laundry area with an open crate. Hannah loves sleeping in her crate and should be easy to crate train. She is getting used to house training and uses newspaper in her area. Hannah is living with a resident cat that patiently lets Hannah sniff her and get to know her. Hannah gets very excited when she sees the cat but doesn’t chase her. Hannah has met all of the friends of the resident teenagers and loves them all. She is very calm when picked up and loves to be held. She will sit nicely in the car when it is time to go for a ride.
Hannah will make a wonderful addition to a family that has the time and patience to devote to the training and raising of an active puppy.
