Original: Gypsy and her sister Kasey were kept as outside dogs by their owner who had them for less than a year. Their barking disturbed the neighbors and the police were called. Rather than risk a large fine, their owner relinquished these field bred Springers to MAESSR.
Gypsy has blended very well with her foster family that included a canine foster brother and sister as well as a family cat. She is a wonderful, loving girl with no bad habits. She gets along well with new people and new dogs she meets. Although at first she was more than curious about the resident cat, Gypsy has decided that the cat can reside with her without being chased.
She’s a friendly greeter, sometimes jumping up to say hi and needing a little reminder that greetings should be done with four paws on the ground. Being a young lady with manners, Gypsy does not counter-surf or try for trash raids. She is house trained and has been left for nine hours with no accident. It is unknown whether she is crate trained since she is good in the house and has not had to be confined. Gypsy knows the commands “come” and “sit” and her foster family is working with her on leash training so she will not pull. She enjoys riding in the car and is a great little passenger lying down and riding quietly.
Gypsy has great energy and loves the company of her people and other dogs. This beautiful and loving girl is the ultimate lovebug of Springers. What a wonderful addition she will make to any home!
