Original: Griffin is a 41-pound neutered liver and white male. He is roughly three years of age. He is HW – but has hookworms as well as ear infections in both ears. He was placed on several antibiotics and got his rabies shot today. He is off food for 24 hours then on a prescribed diet at least till this gets under control. He needs to return next week for a recheck. He has a loose gate. The vet seems to see some stiffness in his hip mobility and his strides are short and jerky. Nothing serious, in her estimation.
He has a gentle disposition. Will counter surf but listens as soon as corrected. He does not beg for food when we eat. He is good in the car. Griffin adjusted to his foster families female ESS with no problems. They seem to be going their own ways. He was tested with kids 5 and 4 and he was gentle. He has been coming to the office with me and responds well to strangers in and out. Griffin has not been tested with cats. There is no information on him other than he came from a shelter in PA.
He pulled on the leash something terrible, but I went to no pull harness, and he seems to be walking better. He was good for the groomer and was great at the vets. He needs work on some commands. Griffin appears to have some sort of separation anxiety and his foster family is addressing that issue with him. He really wants to be with people all day.
Is Griffin the ESS for you?
Update: Griffin went to his forever home!
