Original: “Use of a crate is not necessary for this sweet young lady as she has wonderful household manners and has not shown any desire to counter-surf.”
Gretchen came to MAESSR when her Virginia owner could no longer afford to properly care for her. Although heartbroken, this lady wanted what was best for her special friend.
Since arriving at her foster home, Gretchen has adapted well. She has a good appetite, is continuing to be trustworthy with her house training and gets along well with the resident gang. Gretchen is good with all people although younger children make her nervous since she is not used to them. Use of a crate is not necessary for this sweet young lady as she has wonderful household manners and has not shown any desire to counter-surf. Gretchen does love to have a comfy bed for sleeping with her people near by. She also loves a willing human who will rub her belly.
Gretchen walks well on a leash and, although a bit nervous getting in a car, she rides well once settled.
This love enjoys being groomed and will happily cooperate as long as the groomer wants. She did wonderfully at a recent vet visit with everyone there “oohing” and “ahhing” all over her.
Gretchen is a tiny girl with a lot of sweetness and cuddling built in. She would love to take over your lap, your bed, and your heart.
