Original: Gibson needs a new home because his family can’t give him the attention he needs. He loves to be near his people but since the arrival of the two children (6 mo. and 18 mo.) he seems to be “under foot” too much.
Gibson weighs 45 lbs. and is in excellent health. He is housetrained and although he was crated as a puppy, he is currently left at large in the house without a problem. He is great with other dogs and would probably do best in a home with another dog. His family thinks that another dog would be comforting to Gibson when left for a long workday. He is very much a Velcro dog when the family is home and needs to be a part of the family activities. He loves his toddlers, swimming and his favorite ball!
Gibson has visited a home with two cats and was curious but unimpressed. The cats stayed in another room, and he did not care.
Gibson loves all people and is very excited to have company so he might jump up on the visitor and be all wiggles. If food is left unattended, he will help himself to a snack. While he has had no formal obedience, he does know lots of words like sit, down, paw, stay. Off leash he would prefer to hang with his people than be anywhere else in the world. On leash he wears a halter and Mom is able to handle both the stroller and Gibson without a problem. If you are looking for a bundle of total love and commitment this is the dog for you.
