Updated 6/24/07: George is continuing to do great in his foster home. He has not skipped a beat since his neutering procedure. He still has not mastered potty training but at his age, that’s very understandable. Steady progress is great. He is doing great in his crate too.
Like all good Springer pups (and they all are good), George loves playing with his sibling, Izzy, the resident springer and the children in the home. He pays no attention to the resident cat and is good at riding in the car. He’s almost ready for an active family who will love him to pieces, wear him out every day with play, and teach him all the things that a well-mannered Springer needs to know!
Original: George and his four siblings came into MAESSR’s care from a shelter in Maryland. A shelter volunteer took them into her home for a few days until they were moved into MAESSR foster homes.
George is a typical fun loving Springer puppy that is experiencing new things all the time and learning each day. He is in the process of learning to walk on a leash, play with toys, and learn basic commands such as “sit†and “come.†House training and crate training are both going well; they are just not mastered yet.
George is sharing his foster home with litter mate Izzie, the resident 5 year old Springer, one cat and several children.
This little guy is scheduled for his first vet visit soon so a health update will be forthcoming.
George will make a wonderful addition to a family that has the time and patience to devote to the training and raising of an active puppy.
