Original: Fenway was turned in to the Fairfax Co., Virginia shelter because his owners stated that they no longer had time for him. MAESSR received calls from several concerned citizens informing us that he was in the shelter and in danger. One of our wonderful volunteers pulled him just hours before he was to be put to sleep.
Fenway is housebroken, gets along well with other dogs, walks well on a leash, rides well in a car, and likes to get on the furniture. His foster family has not been able to verify yet whether he is good with children or cats. They have learned that Fenway hates to be crated, but there is really no need to crate because he has excellent house manners. He sleeps on a dog bed beside the foster parents’ bed.
Fenway has a wonderfully sweet springer personality. He wants to be with his people and please them at all times. The volunteer who pulled him from the shelter kept him for a couple of days until he could be moved to his foster home and stated “He is the perfect dog.”
