Original: Eve is a mild -mannered and incredibly affectionate girl. She plays well and seems unphased by the children she has met since in her foster home. She is fine with the neighbor’s dogs, the resident dog, and another foster. Her foster mom is confident that she will acclimate fine in another home with other dogs.
Eve is not familiar with cats and does have a tendency to chase the ones she is living with now. She is crate trained, so when her family is gone, she spends her time there, largely due to the introduction to the cats. It would probably be best for her not to have cats to worry in her adopting home. She likes to hang out in her kennel on the plump dog bed when her people are around. For her it’s a great place to sleep or just relax.
Eve walks well on a leash and does not try to escape from the yard. She will linger around while you are prepping and eating food in the hopes that she may get a scrap. However, she does not attempt to take food off of the counters or anyone’s dishes. She will get on the furniture if invited but will stay off otherwise. Eve rides incredibly well on trips short or long.
It seems as though the ground work was laid somewhere in Eve’s past for the learning of basic commands. However, reinforcement would be helpful in order to strengthen her knowledge. She is very focused and would respond to the attention that comes with training. She is also mellow and very loving. At the end of a mini-training session, Eve would like nothing more than to settle watchfully while supper is fixed and a treat is slipped her way.
MAESSR received Eve when her owner moved into a townhouse and could not take her along. She has a calm and steady presence about her and would love to share her affections in a home that will offer the same to her.
