Original: Emma 3 came into rescue after a great amount of thought by her family. They only wanted what was best for her and loved her dearly. After just a few days, her foster dad can see why she was so hard to give up and knows that he will have a hard time letting her go, too. She has these light brown eyes that just melt a heart and seem to talk. Her tail is docked and she weighs in at a healthy 35 lbs. She has had a small tooth pulled, but one cannot even tell it is missing.
Though Emma is housebroken, she is crated when her foster family is at work. She cries for a few minutes when left but settles down nicely. She is not in the crate for more that 5 hours at a time without a potty break. Emma sleeps on the bed at night and likes to be touching her people at all times. If her energy has not been fully burned up, she will bring up a bone on the bed to entertain herself.
With four other dogs currently sharing her foster home, Emma is having the time of her life. She goes from dog to dog with the biggest bone in her mouth begging them to play and chase her. She is a vocal girl when she plays and gives off these growling noises that are so funny to hear. She eats right next to all the other dogs and likes to sample their dishes when possible.
Emma will counter-surf and grab items out of the garbage but is easily corrected. She knows some commands including “off” and “down,” but a formal obedience training class with her forever family will be needed. She has met small children and is fine with them. She loves to go on car rides but wants to get into the driver’s lap to help drive. For the safety of all, a restraint is highly recommended!!
This precious girl is going to make some family fall in love with her. She’s a sweetie who could be a wonderful “first” dog or could be a playful companion for resident dogs or children. She will be available shortly for her “new beginning.”
