Original: Emma was plucked from a shelter when word was received that she was about to be put to sleep. She arrived at her foster family a bit disheveled and disoriented. Within a few days she relaxed and revealed herself to be a mellow, sweet Springer. She is extremely well behaved: no chewing, no accidents, she walks well on a leash.
Emma has a number of health issues that are now being addressed by the vet: a severe ear infection, a wound on her foot, and a possible knee injury. As with many aging Springers, she has a few skin tags and benign fatty tumors, none of which — the vet assures us — are cause for concern.
She gets along well with her foster brother as well as other dogs. Her behavior around cats and small children is not yet known. And she loves to have her belly rubbed!
Update: Emma was adopted by her foster family who is completely charmed by her.
