Emily is a six-year-old spayed female liver and white whose family is giving her up due to their child’s allergies and the fact that they do not have enough time to spend with her. She has had no aggressive behavior, is current with vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and is AKC registered.
Emily has been an outside dog with a doggie door that leads to a kennel in the garage. It is reported that she is not house-trained but believed that she easily could be if crated. Her owners have crated her,, and she does fine but when left in the house with full run she will have an accident. Emily is good with other dogs and is submissive to them; she will chase cats. She is good with older children but will knock little ones down due to her activity level and size.
Emily does have a low thyroid and needs to take medication which costs around ten dollars a month. She is in good health and has only had a couple of ear infections in her lifetime.
Emily is used to being groomed and does well there. She pulls on the leash at first but then settles. She does not go off leash because she will run. She will come back but when she is ready. Emily loves “cookies”, loves to play ball, will chase squirrels and likes to drag tree limbs around the yard.
Could you be the one to give Emily the time she needs and teach her good Springer house manners?
Update 4/8/2003:
Emily has beeen adopted into a home that loves her!
