When her Virginia family moved and could not take her with them, Ellie came to MAESSR. It was a difficult decision for them, but they felt with all of the changes in their world, Ellie would not get enough time or attention from them. They knew MAESSR would make sure she got a wonderful home.
Ellie’s move into her foster home has been a complete joy! Her sweet, fun-loving attitude wins everyone’s heart. Ellie will jump up on people, but does it so gently it is not a problem. Crate-trained, Ellie just loves her crate and will go in voluntarily when she wants to take a quiet break from the activities around her. Her foster mom is working with her on the finishing touches of housetraining. Ellie has made great progress and her adoptive home will need to be willing to put the time into completing this training.
When grooming time rolls around, Ellie is always ready to hop on the grooming table since she loves to be brushed and fussed over. She just keeps asking for more. She willing allows her foster mom to put in her ear drops and gives sweet kisses to her when it is done. This sweetness and politeness even extends to her walks where she walks well on a leash. She also rides well in the car when crated and is learning to ride in the car without the crate.
Ellie is ready for her forever family to take her home and love her!
