Original: “Ella is a sweet little princess that needs a forever family that will be firm with her. Just because she is cute, does not mean she can do whatever she wants!”
Ella came from to MAESSR because there were numerous teenagers coming in and out of her Virginia home. This was just too much for her to handle. Ella’s family tried many, many things to help her overcome the anxiety that she was feeling, without success. Heartbreakingly, they came to the conclusion that Ella would be better off in a home with less activity.
Ella has done wonderfully in her foster home. There are several other dogs, but not as much activity. She has settled in and is just a little love bug. Ella loves to play with toys…she has a few of her “favorites.” This petite sweetie is crate trained and housetrained, and she rides well in the car.
Ella does think she is a little princess and that the rules don’t always apply to her. She is very good at taking direction but, again, would prefer to just do it her way.
To help ease her anxiety, Ella is on a supplement. It has really helped her settle down and think her way through situations. Occasionally she needs new people to let her come to them instead of them crowding her to pet her.
Ella is not fond of having her ears or feet groomed. Her foster mom definitely recommends a muzzle for those situations. She believes that with some positive, slow training Ella could get much better with this. She does not mind having her ears or feet touched in other situations; it’s just grooming that upsets her.
Ella sleeps on a rug beside the foster parents’ bed. She would really like to be in the bed with her foster family…but there is no room for her!
Ella is a sweet little princess that needs a forever family that will be firm with her. Just because she is cute, does not mean she can do whatever she wants! Consistent direction will be important for her to receive along with all the loving and cuddling. Would Ella be a good match for your family?
