Original: Duke came into MAESSR’s care when his previous owner was facing back surgery. She knew that she would not be able to keep up with his exercise and decided it was in his best interest to go to rescue. She felt Duke was a wonderful love bug and would find the home he needed through MAESSR.
In his original home Duke had some training as a hunter and loves the activity. He is very smart and learns quickly. He is looking for a family with enough energy to keep up with him and enough time to expand his training. He is a sweetie that would do best as an only dog or in the company of submissive female dogs.
Duke is housetrained, crate trained, pulls some on his leash and will counter-surf when his people are looking the other way. He loves to cuddle with his people, spend time with them and is ready to go for a ride with them whenever the car leaves home. Do you need a “Duke” along on your next car ride?
