Update 10/06/08:
Miss Dolly is a delight, a sweet-hearted older gal who is very devoted to the people around her. She seems friendly with everyone she meets, the old, the young, and everyone in-between. She is a good car rider and a patient, steady pal to the aged resident Springer in her foster home. What else can her foster mom say – Dolly snuggles at her feet and is always by her side. She does not jump on furniture or countersurf. She doesn’t beg but loves her own food!! She also loves her squeaky toys. She is wonderful!!! The first of two heartworm treatments for Dolly is complete. Her second one is upcoming and should go fine as did the first. Shortly after that, she will be ready to meet a family that will make her their own. Don’t miss the opportunity to adopt this gem!
Original:
Dolly was found as a stray on a rural Virginia farm. She had been there about ten days before animal control picked her up. No one came to claim her, so they contacted MAESSR to take this extremely sweet girl. It was obvious that Dolly had been living outside for a long time. Her coat and overall appearance clearly had not been a priority.
Dolly walked into her foster home, looked around, and decided she was home. She was thrilled to get a total-body shave down. Her tail wagged the entire time even when the mats were being cut out from between the pads of her feet. Dolly is so grateful for any attention that she just melts into you. She follows her foster mom everywhere she goes. Dolly even sleeps on a dog bed beside her foster parents’ bed. She loves to ride in the car and is both crate-trained and housebroken.
Please watch for more on his sweet Springer as she undergoes her treatment for heart worms.
