Dolly came to the newly formed MAESSR as an owner relinquishment from Virginia. Her owners were moving from a house with a yard to a condo and Dolly had too much energy to be cooped up.
Housetrained and crate trained, Dolly is a high energy girl who likes to bark. She is immensely social and loves everyone and everything except squirrels. Those she chases with determination and gusto! When taken on walks, Dolly stops at all the school bus stops so the kids can pet her. She pulls on the leash so she will definitely benefit from obedience classes with her forever family to correct this and to increase her knowledge of commands beyond “sit.†In her original home, she was crated up to ten hours per day plus being crated at night. Less time in the crate would be good for her so she could burn up some of her energy!
Dolly is not used to being groomed and does not like the dryer at all! She does not mind being bathed, though, and readily jumps into the tub. Dolly is happiest when she can be carrying around one of her stuffed animals or sitting next to you on the couch giving you kisses.
Dolly is ready to give her forever family a lifetime of love and devotion.
