Original: Dee is one of three puppies dropped off at a shelter in West Virginia. After being neutered or spayed, they were released to MAESSR. Since all of them were bound for foster homes near Pittsburgh during the AFC playoffs, they were named appropriately: the boys being Willie and Troy and the little girl Dee, after the Steeler’s awesome Defense.
Dee is a very active, playful puppy. She is not at all intimidated by the two resident Springers and would love it if they would play with her more. She does amuse herself going from toy to toy and playing on her own. Dee has just begun being crate trained and is in the process of being housebroken. She does really well in her crate, settling in nicely after a few whines and barks. She sleeps soundly through the night in her crate but is anxious to get out when everyone is up.
At this point, Dee has a few health issues, but her vet and foster mom are confident that she will be very healthy and adoptable soon. This beautiful puppy with a full tail will need a loving home that can give all the love, attention and training that she so deserves.
