Original: Darcy is the kind of dog that makes you wonder about people. Who could possibly not turn over every rock to find and reclaim this beautiful puppy? Darcy was found wearing a collar, trailing a leash, and looking for love. When no one came looking for him at the local shelter on Darcy Street, the shelter folks called MAESSR.
Darcy obviously has been someone’s pet. He is in excellent condition and has had some training. He knows “sit”, “come”, and seems housetrained, although he has had a few overnight accidents. He is being crate trained. Darcy is so cute that he probably was cuddled and indulged a lot. He tries to climb in his foster mom’s lap whenever she sits, even when it’s at the computer or the table. He expects treats when his foster family is eating. He jumps on people to welcome them. Learning “down” will be a top priority. Darcy pulls on his leash, but then, what puppy in a new environment doesn’t want to explore every new site and smell?
Darcy has very flashy markings on his puffy, puppy coat. He is almost like a Springer doll. Although he is of average height, he is slender and fine boned. He weighs in at a mighty 30 pounds. Neutering has been temporarily delayed while he gets over a mild case of kennel cough.
Darcy rides quietly in a car but needs to be restrained so he doesn’t crawl onto the driver’s lap. What can we say, he’s an outgoing bundle of affection who’s just been looking for love in all the wrong places! Your place, however, might be the right place for this fuzzy little package of joy.
