Dannie was found as a stray and taken to a Virginia shelter. Workers there contacted MAESSR and asked for our help. They even helped with this lucky girl’s transport!
While running loose, Dannie had a massive flea infestation which has now led to a skin infection. The fleas are now gone and the medication being used to treat the skin infection is working well. Her skin is looking much better already. Dannie’s ears were also infected and have been treated. To make her look fantastic and feel just as great, she got a day at the spa to help her skin and hair. What a beauty!
Dannie was clearly an outside girl in her previous life. Now that she has discovered the joys of indoor living, she has decided that is a much better place to be. Her housetraining is coming along very well, but her foster mom has to keep an eye out that she does not steal paper things and chew them. This behavior has definitely improved during the time she has been in foster care. Good with dogs and people alike, Dannie has not shown any aggression of any type; she just wants to please!
