Original: “Dak is very obedient and loves showing off and learning tricks.”
Dak’s former owner did a lot of training with him. This Virginia boy was her agility dog. Unfortunately, the owner had gotten a new dog several months ago and Dak decided he did not like this intruder. The owner thought it would be best for Dak to find a new family where he could be an only dog. So, Dak became a MAESSR boy.
Dak is very obedient and loves showing off and learning tricks. He has quite a repertoire of commands including “come/here,” “wait/stay,” “sit,” “down,” “roll over,” “bang (die),” “shake” and “wave” (with both paws), “middle” (go in between legs and sit), “sit forward and finish” (with a swing to heel), and many more!
Besides all that, Dak has good leash manners and will walk nicely by his person’s side; however, he is very strong on a leash and will start out strong. Dak rides well in the car, also. Sometimes he will whine a bit in the beginning but then settles down and goes to sleep.
With good house manners, Dak is crate trained and housetrained. His favorite place to sleep is in bed with his people!!!
This great boy has a playful side too. He loves balls and fetch! He is also very dramatic and vocal, wooing a lot. And, oh, he has a very adorable WOO WOOO!
Dak was placed on an inexpensive supplement to help with his mild anxiety and assist with his transition to a new home. His new family will be required to keep him on this supplement for a minimum of six months post adoption.
This fun, cuddly boy is going to add some excitement to a very lucky family.
