On rare occasions, MAESSR is blessed with an entire litter of puppies! After ceasing his kennel operation, a breeder from Pennsylvania reached out to MAESSR and Daisy 16 along with six adorable furball siblings were born in MAESSR’s care in Virginia. Their mom is Bambi 2 and their dad is Pooh Bear who was adopted earlier this fall.
Daisy is a fun loving, care-free and happy little girl! She is very playful and loves her toys. She’s even catching onto the concept of fetch! And, of course, she absolutely loves other dogs; she also loves the resident barn cat who is very dog friendly—they will play chase. So far Daisy hasn’t been rough enough to scare the cat away, so there’s a potential there!
Daisy is crate trained, knows “sit,” “go potty,” and has been doing very, very well with her housetraining. She sleeps through the night with no accidents for roughly nine hours. When kept to a tight schedule/consistent routine, there are almost no accidents in the house! She stays in her crate overnight for naps when her foster mom is running errands (for 2-3 hours a few times a week) and when she cannot be supervised in the house.
Note that MAESSR will require the adoptive family to take this love through a series of obedience classes within 90 days of adoption. MAESSR only places puppies in homes that are committed to training and bonding with the pup in obedience classes. Puppies require a lot of care, attention, and patience. MAESSR believes the decision to get a puppy and raise it to be a healthy, happy, and well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment.
