Original: “Daisy is a fantastic young lady who is just looking for a forever family who will love her and give her tummy tickles.”
The flower “Daisy” is identified as simple yet sophisticated, and daisies are some of the most beautiful flowers in the floral world. Daisies convey cheer and exuberance in spades—the perfect description of this Springer beauty!
Daisy 14 came from a family in Maryland who fell upon difficult times and was unable to care for her appropriately. She was not given the time, attention and love that she so needed; MAESSR was asked to find her the best family to give her all these things that she so readily deserves.
This bouncing Springer gets along with absolutely everyone she meets be they dogs, children or adults. She has been surrounded by children as young as six years old in her foster home and has yet to meet anyone whom she did not love at first sight.
Mostly housetrained and getting better each day, Daisy uses the doggie door but will circle her humans to tell them she needs to go outside. She is fully crate trained but generally sleeps in the sunroom with the other dogs. Of course, her preference is to sleep with her humans if at all possible, but she is calm and relaxed if this cannot take place every night.
With her foster family’s help, Daisy is learning proper house manners. She has not been seen counter-surfing or showing any interest in the trash. Good girl! She loves her food but is not food or toy aggressive whatsoever. She is learning all her basic commands and already has “sit” down pat. Daisy loves to go for walks and does not pull at all on the leash. She does circle still a wee bit as so many Springers do when she first starts her walk but stops this quickly as she starts to sniff the interesting smells around her.
Miss D loves to go to the vets, rides well in the car AND was fabulous with the groomers. Although she was a bit nervous at first she quickly adjusted to the clipper noise and was fine having her feet and ears handled. Like normal Springers, she loves to have her paw held!!!!
Daisy is a fantastic young lady who is just looking for a forever family who will love her and give her tummy tickles. She will make the best pet ever and will shower her people with love, sweet cuddles and a gentleness difficult to put into words.
And, what fun she and her people have ahead of them as MAESSR only places puppies in homes that are committed to training and bonding with the pup in obedience classes. Puppies require a lot of care, attention, and patience, and they do chew on things! The decision to get a puppy and raise it to be a healthy, happy, and well-adjusted dog is a serious commitment. To reinforce this commitment, MAESSR requires all adopters of dogs one year old and younger to enroll their puppy in obedience classes within 60 days of adoption.
Whoever adopts this pup will be one lucky family!!
