Original: “Daisy is housetrained but does not like to be crated; however, she has such wonderful house manners that it has not mattered.”
Poor Daisy has been in two homes and then in a Maryland shelter in the span of a year. It’s no wonder she is having a tough time adjusting to all this change. She was taken from a family who posted her on Craig’s List saying they weren’t able to keep her anymore, after having her for four years. The new family who took her in said she bonded very quickly and strongly to the mom who is home most; however; Daisy started guarding the mom against the kids in the house. This bonding probably was the result of all the changes in her life causing her to latch on to “her person.” This second family then took her to a shelter. MAESSR quickly pulled her and got her into a foster home. Now a MAESSR girl, Daisy will be able to find herself a truly forever home!
When Daisy first came into foster car, she had a very bad urinary tract infection. Now that treatment is almost complete, she feels great! Other than that, Daisy is a healthy girl.
Daisy has been extremely well-behaved in her foster home. She is housetrained but does not like to be crated; however, she has such wonderful house manners that it has not mattered. She sleeps on a dog bed beside her foster parents’ bed at night.
Always ready for a ride in the car, Daisy is a good passenger. When it is time for a hike, she walks well on the leash. Good girl! She loves toys and will fetch a tennis ball for hours. Daisy can frequently be seen carry a ball around in her mouth.
What Daisy needs most is continued stability in her life. Her MAESSR foster family has started her on this journey of building trust and confidence. Are you the loving person who will continue her walk to happiness and a stable future?
