Crystal and her littermate Satin need to find a new home because their owner will be moving overseas in May and she can not take them with her. Crystal and Satin have always been together and do become a little anxious when one is without the other (and their humans are not around) so we hope to place them together.
Crystal’s overall health is good but she has a history of urinary infections. She is on a special diet available at the vets to try and prevent UTI’s. The cost is $49 for a 40 pound bag. She is also on glucosamine & chondroitin.
Crystal has a very sweet disposition and affection for people. She loves to have her belly rubbed, her ears scratched and to be brushed. She has never shown any signs of aggression with children or adults. She may growl at another dog if she is leashed and the dog approaches her. Although she gets along with Satin she has not spent a lot of time socializing with other dogs. Crystal has not been exposed to cats and her owner thinks she would chase a cat if it were running.
Crystal is very well behaved in the house. She is housebroken and goes into her crate with a “kennel” command. She does not chew or dig but will bark if she is outside and there are dogs outside her fenced area. Crystal had basic obedience at one year and knows sit, down, and stay. She knows come but doesn’t obey the come command consistently. She will pull on the leash initially as she likes to investigate. She does calm down nicely and is easily managed when both girls go for a walk. Crystal does know how to heel. She does not usually beg for food and does not counter surf. She will occasionally jump when people visit.
Crystal is very good for the groomer. She has no problems with having her feet or ears handled and doesn’t mind being bathed. She loves to be brushed. She is ok in the car.
Crystal and Satin are wonderful sweet girls who would love to shower you with affection. Do you have room in your heart and home for these special sisters?
