Cooper was found as a stray by a family in Maryland. He just showed up at their house and these good Samaritans took him to a local shelter. When no one came to claim this sweet boy, arrangements were made to make him a MAESSR boy.
Cooper is a BIG boy. Even after losing a recommended 10 pounds, he will always be a big boy. Very sweet and loving attention, Cooper was proven child-friendly; he interacted wonderfully with the 7 and 10 year old children of the family that found him. While he’s a little shy when he first meets someone, he quickly warms up and wants to be a friend.
Somewhere along the way Cooper learned very good house manners. He is crate trained and housetrained. While this good boy does get on furniture, he sleeps on a dog bed at the foot of his foster family’s bed at night. Because he is trustworthy, Cooper has free roam of the house while they are at work.
Cooper walks well on a leash and rides well in a car either crated or unrestrained. At the vet, Cooper behaved like a good boy. While there, he tested positive for Lyme disease and is being treated for it with a 30 day regimen of antibiotics. Cooper developed a scrotal hematoma next to his neuter incision and is receiving anti-inflammatory medication to help resolve it.
At trip to the groomer was on Cooper’s calendar but the snowy weather caused it to be cancelled. He will receive his spa day soon, weather permitting.
Cooper is a really sweet boy with a lot of love to give. Consider adding this well-behaved pup to your pack!
