Original: Connor came into MAESSR’s care due to the deterioration in health of his senior owner. This pup did not miss a step and quickly blended in with the two resident dogs and other foster Springer puppy at his foster home.
Connor enjoys playing and, if given the option, would play all day and night. He is crate trained which helps for the required “rest” periods for all the dogs. He is reliable in housebreaking but needs to be reminded periodically as he will get caught up in the excitement of playing or chasing birds and forget what he has learned and should do. This is not unusual for a puppy of his age.
He is a very smart boy having already mastered “sit” and “down” and is making good progress on “stay/wait”. He loves his walks, even with the heeling lessons which are ongoing. His exuberance and love of birds and squirrels carries over to walking. He does not want to miss a thing on the walk, so he tends to pull and weave. More time with heeling lessons and maturity will cure this behavior in no time.
At night Connor sleeps in the master bedroom with the other Springers. He very much enjoys being “one of the gang” and is very observant of the behavior of the other dogs. He is a very special boy with much love to give everyone around him.
