When his Maryland family got another dog and this new dog did not get along with Cody, the family spent several months trying to improve this relationship, but were unable to make it work. So, the decision was made to place Cody with MAESSR because he was the more well-adjusted dog who could fit into anyone’s home. While with his original family, Cody lived in harmony with resident cats and rabbits with no problem at all; he has also done well with children of all ages.
Cody has excellent house manners and doesn’t counter-surf or trash dive. He is completely housetrained and crate trained although crating this trustworthy boy is not necessary. At night, Cody has resigned himself to sleeping on the sofa since there is no more room in his foster parents’ bed at this time. Sigh! He hopes his forever family will have room in their master bed for him since snuggling with his people at night would be his preference.
An old injury to one eye has caused slight vision loss for Cody. Unfortunately, nothing can be done at this point to correct this vision loss, but this sweet boy doesn’t let it interfere with his life in any way. He still loves his toys and enjoys going on car rides – his favorite activity.
Cody would make an excellent addition to any lucky family! Bring this lovely, sweet boy home in time for the holidays!
