“Woof! Kiss! Woof! Kiss!” This is what Cleo would be saying if she got to write her own story. She is a great girl who is ready for a new beginning and whose one request is simple – she wants a family with another dog. Cleo loves the resident dogs in her foster home. They keep her company all day while her foster mom is at work. When Cleo and her four-footed companions are outside, Cleo loves to watch them play and will copy their antics. She also loves to chase butterflies and keep tabs on squirrels. She will even sometimes chase shadows. The only thing she really doesn’t like is being an only dog.
Having other dogs close by keeps Cleo from being afraid. In her foster home, she lives with other springers, 2 toy poodles and a cat. She gets along with everyone fine. If they are present, Cleo will go right in a crate and lays down. If asked to crate without company, she becomes upset. At night, her favorite bedtime buddy is the resident cat. Cleo and the cat sleep together beside the bed. Here too another furry companion makes her feel safe through the night.
Cleo also enjoys the company of the children living next door to her foster home. They are ages 4, 6, and 7. She is a true angel and will attach herself to people and never let go. She is a mama’s girl for sure.
A joy of adult springers is that they usually have very nice house manners. Cleo is no exception. She is housetrained and, as explained earlier, settles in a crate when she has buddies close by. She loves her toys and has her own blankie in her foster home which she also loves. She is great on a leash and is always ready to go for walks. She also loves to SWIM!
Cleo is a DREAM of a Springer spaniel. If you have an easy going Springer in your family who would also like to have a canine companion, ask about adopting Cleo. She will quickly become a treasure to the humans and four-footed members of her new family!!!
