Cleo has been adopted!
Original:
Cleo is a very special girl – full of fun, adventure and personality! Her intake sheet from the shelter indicates she was given up for chewing, but what puppy doesn’t like to exercise those needle teeth!
Cleo is very smart and attentive. She enjoys the company of other dogs. Once she gets over the initial puppy shyness, she sees every canine acquaintance as a potential playmate. She is quick to learn new things and is doing very well with her crate-training and basic obedience commands (e.g. sit, come). While it is clear she prefers to be with people and other dogs, she will sit or lay quietly in her crate. Any kind of toy is her favorite -squeakers, balls or just cardboard paper rolls. She has quickly picked up the morning walk routine and loves to go on walks – another adventure!
She is 95% housebroken and should be 100% when she goes to her new home. As with any young puppy, she needs structure, praise and time outside. Cleo will enjoy the required obedience class. She wants to please and will view the class and exercises as another new adventure. She enjoys running around the yard chasing the butterflies and watching the birds.
Cleo is very exuberant so she may be better for a family without toddlers. She has not been tested with cats but will be shortly. Cleo has real spirit and spunk and will be a treasure for the family fortunate to adopt her.
