Clay currently resides in an apartment with his owner. She has lived there for twenty years and is now being told “no more dogs.” He is not altered but will be altered before being placed.
Clay is very good with kids of all ages, even babies. He is good with other dogs and cats. He even lets the birds share his water bowl. He does not chew and only barks when strangers approach. Clay is a city boy, so he has never had the chance to picking up digging as a habit, but he can open a gate. He is crate-trained, but does not currently use one. He has had basic obedience training and knows sit, stay and down. He is both leash and off leash trained.
He has absolutely no aggressive tendencies, not even over his food or toys. He is not allowed on the furniture, but his owner believes that he takes liberties when she is not home. Clay is very well mannered and would love a forever home.
Clay’s owner failed to respond to our calls when we had a prospective home. We have removed him from our adoption list.
