Original: Along with her son, Andy, Chloe came to MAESSR as an owner relinquishment from central Pennsylvania. Her owner was experiencing a serious health problem and loved his dogs enough to send them to MAESSR for a fresh start. Chloe is a very petite girl at 35 pounds and really cute with her tan coloring. She is in good health according to her vet and only needs some final updating.
Although she is 5 years old, Chloe still has lots of Springer spunk! She loves to play with her Springer foster sister but also wants to be the top dog. She might do best in a home where she would be the only dog or in the company of a submissive companion. When meeting strangers, Chloe is a little shy and will run to her foster mom for reassurance. She warms up though and quickly loves the people around her. In her original home, Chloe was around children and reportedly was great with them. She has shown no food aggression at all and likes to ride in the car.
Chloe walks like a dream on the leash. There is no pulling at all with this well mannered lady. Her preference is to sleep in a crate at night. She will sleep and not say a peep until her foster family gets up in the morning. Since in her foster home, Chloe has been left alone for a few hours at a time uncrated. If left longer, her foster mom crates her. She is housebroken but has had a few “adjustment” accidents which can happen with any major change such as she is going through. Chloe is so cute when she plays. She loves her chewy bones and will pretend to “bury” them in the house. When she plays ball, she carries it around like a little princess and will bring it back to be thrown again.
Overall, Chloe’s foster mom feels she is the sweetest girl on the block. Chloe loves to be with people and loves to give and receive affection. She needs people in her life who will play ball and take her for walks and, of course, let her cuddle up at days end. Could that be you?
