Cheyenne May came to MAESSR when her Virginia family was moving and could not take her with them. They had thought they had arrangements for a new home worked out for her, but those fell apart at the last minute and MAESSR stepped in to help.
This lively little sweetheart loves to cuddle and spend time with her family. Although Cheyenne will run and play with the other dogs, she clearly prefers her people. When she first meets new individuals, she is a little shy. Give her about ten minutes, and she is your best friend! Her foster mom thinks this initial shyness will dissipate with more socialization.
Cheyenne has nice house manners and is not crated in her foster home. She loves to sleep in the bed with her foster parents, but will also take a spot on the floor if she is told to get off. Cheyenne was raised around kids, but the younger ones do make her nervous. She also lived with three cats and mostly ignored them, but sometimes would play with them.
When going for a walk, Cheyenne will pull on the leash at first, but quickly settles down at a nice pace. She is really looking for someone to play ball with her!! How about it?
