Update: 6/10/05: Chessy’s fun-loving personality has continued to unfold while she is in foster care. She loves to play with the other dogs and with children. She is still all puppy and likes to chew on inappropriate items at times, but will gladly exchange for something she is allowed to chew on. She loves to have fun and be a clown, and will definitely make you LAUGH!
Chessy will need an obedience class so she can become a well-behaved member of her forever family. She is smart and willing to please so training should be very easy with her. She only weighs about 20 pounds so she is great for someone who was looking for a smaller dog.
Original: Chessy and her brother Caesar were pulled from the Amelia County, Virginia, shelter in the nick of time by a couple of wonderful MAESSR volunteers. Chessy is very sweet and has not had any training. She will counter surf when she can, although this doesn’t happen often as she is a small girl. The trash can is an easier reach and she has checked it out. She doesn’t walk well on a leash yet, but she could learn this with her new family. She is crate trained.
This little gal has charmed everyone she has met with her sweetness and that cute little face. Chessy does not believe that there is such a thing as too much LOVE!!! She’ll soon be ready for a forever family who will teach her more about good manners and who will love her to pieces. Do you have enough love for this little girl?
