Original: “Chelsea is really good with people of all ages. She loves children and has been good with those as young as one.”
Chelsea is a North Carolina girl whose owner could not adequately care for her so now she is part of the MAESSR family. She has acclimated well to life in her foster parents’ home and she has charmed them. They find her to be affectionate, loving, gentle, and quiet, loving adults and children alike.
Housetrained, crate trained, and dependable, Chelsea has free run of the house when no one is home. She signals to go out by standing at the door and pawing it once. At night she sleeps in her dog bed. She has good house manners and does not get into the trash or chew inappropriately. In her foster home she is allowed to get up on the furniture and enjoys this privilege. Chelsea checked out what was on the counter just once but stopped when told “off.” She eats in the kitchen and shows no resource guarding.
Although there are no resident dogs in Chelsea’s foster home, she is well-behaved with the neighborhood dogs and dogs she meets when walking. Chelsea loves her walks and tends to pull since she is moving so quickly. She knows the commands “heel” and “sit” and will give her paw when asked. She definitely knows what “treat” means! She is always loves going for a ride and is a good passenger.
Chelsea is really good with people of all ages. She loves children and has been good with those as young as one. She has gotten good behavior reports from the vet and the groomer too. Having her ears cleaned and her nails cut present no problems for Chelsea.
This sweet girl would love joining a family with kids and other dogs. She’s got a lot of love—plus her favorite toy owl– to share!
