Original: “It’s obvious that Chase was well-loved and snuggled on, according to his foster mom. He’s an absolute Velcro Springer who loves to snuggle and give kisses.”
Chase, along with Chevy, his brother from a different litter, became MAESSR boys because their owner became ill and could no longer care for them. Fortunately for these Pennsylvania boys, MASSER is in the business of finding sweet Springers new homes!
Reportedly, Chase has always been friendly to people of all ages. He lived with toddlers and behaved gently around children. He also lived with cats and was very good with them. While he got along famously and loved to play with his brother, it appears that Chase is amiable with other dogs, as well. In his foster home, he has been great with his grumpy old Springer foster sister. Upon meeting her, he gave her the sniff test and then planted a kiss! She’s even accepted his snuggling with her…as long as he keeps a respectable distance!
When Chase arrived at his foster home he had ear and urinary tract infections. He is just about finished with medications for both; the UTI is cleared up and the ear infection is all but gone. He has some winter dry skin (don’t we all?) but that is clearing up with a daily fish oil supplement. Chase can be touched all over, but when he sees the ear medicine coming out, the silly boy tries to hide!
It’s obvious that Chase was well-loved and snuggled on, according to his foster mom. He’s an absolute Velcro Springer who loves to snuggle and give kisses. Sleeping in the big bed with his parents is a joy to him. He LOVES pillows and likes to sleep on the pillows in his family’s office as well as on the big bed. He’s learning to sleep between his people instead of ON his people!
This smart boy knows “sit,” “stay,” “paw,” and “lie down.” He currently is working on learning “four on the floor.” When his foster mama is making his dinner plate, he is a bit of a counter-surfer and tries to see what good things are going on up there. Chase is housetrained and had just one accident, for which his foster family accepts the blame. He does not appear to have a signal to go out, but he uses his family’s doggie door when he needs to take care of business.
Not a fan of the crate, Chase can be trusted to have full run of the house when his family is out without disturbing anything. He will, however, bark for about a half hour after they leave. Since he doesn’t appear to have much leash experience, this is something Chase is learning. So far he’s doing fine. He also rides great in the car.
Chase would make the perfect companion with any family as long as they are willing to give this sweet guy significant cuddle time! Would Chase fit in with your pack?
