Original: “This love is a lot like a great auntie—an old-fashioned lady with pearls, matching shoes and purse, and gloves.”
Charlotte Mae was the victim of a divorce and relinquished by her Pennsylvania owner’s relatives to MAESSR. Immediately her foster folks were struck by her beautiful, intelligent eyes, the multitude of freckles bridging her nose and her sleek, glossy coat. Charlotte Mae is one gorgeous liver and white Springer!
She is not just a pretty face. Oh, no! Charlotte knows her stuff–“sit,” “stay,” “down,” “shake,” “treat,” and “out.” And she has impeccable manners. No jumping, no counter-surfing, and no lounging on the davenport for this grand dame! However, there was the wee incident of the foster folk’s bed being rumpled while they were out of the house. Charlotte Mae did not ‘fess up to that slight infraction.
Otherwise, Charlotte is the perfect house guest! She is housetrained, sleeps crated in her foster parents’ bedroom at night, but is allowed free reign during the day. Charlotte is a Velcro girl, slumbering near her foster mom during the day. Charlotte likes to cuddle in her new bed in the evening when her foster folks watch the television. She has even charmed the cantankerous, non-charming resident Yorkie. She will, on rare occasions, pilfer one of the Yorkie’s toys and race through the house with it while ignoring her own toys.
Charlotte seems to love visitors. She does bark, but immediately settles down. Outside, she walks like a queen on her leash. But, it’s when this beauty is near water that she really lets her fur down. Charlotte loves the water! She swims, she trots on the beach and she is a joy to behold! Exploring in the woods is also a fun pastime. Her nose is always working. She does not seem affected by thunder.
Charlotte has been to the vet, where she was given all her shots, microchipped, and treated for an ear infection. She was a champ with the vet. Ms. C. has not been to the groomer, but allowed her foster mother to brush her beautiful coat and trim her feet.
Charlotte Mae is a very lovely, sweet, older gal who may just be the perfect Springer. This love is a lot like a great auntie—an old-fashioned lady with pearls, matching shoes and purse, and gloves. An impeccable, refined lady of character and grace–that is MAESSR’s Ms. Charlotte Mae!
