Update 04/08/11:
Ceasar returned to MAESSR because a doggie sibling in his adoptive home was picking on him constantly. In his new foster home, he slotted right in with the resident dogs. He quickly made himself comfortable, whether hanging out with the resident Springer girl, playing fetch in the yard or with lots of different dogs at the local dog park. His foster mom read Ceasar’s original webpage write-up after his arrival. His earlier hip surgery explained a slightly different gallop when chasing balls or jogging along on a leash. She can see this doesn’t seem to limit his activity.
Ceasar’s a big creampuff of a guy, generally mellow inside, good natured, and with a Springer smile. He sleeps either on a rug under the table, in an open wire crate or on his foster sister’s bed next to her. He gets along well with the neighborhood kids, ages 5 and up, has been 100% reliable with his house training and doesn’t counter- or garbage-surf.
Ceasar would love a yard for playing ball and keeping watch for squirrels but, as long as he gets some outside fun, he’s content. He likes to go for car rides also. He’s an overall good guy, just waiting to make some new folks very happy and loved.
Original:
Ceasar and Sally were relinquished to MAESSR due to their owner’s serious health issues. She had tried very hard for the last year to make things work out with them, but they ended up kenneled many times due to her poor health. The owner had taken extremely good care of both of them and they have wonderful temperaments.
A tall Springer, Ceasar only weighs 61 pounds, but he has a gorgeous, big, chunky head that you just want to cuddle. When he was younger, he had hip dysplasia in his left hip. The vet performed an FHO on the hip and he does well now. Occasionally, if he plays too hard, he will limp on that leg. The leg really does not slow him up or cause him much pain, though.
Ceasar is a BIG cuddlebug! He just loves to be close to you and thinks there is nothing better than curling up in bed with his foster parents for a good night’s sleep. However, his foster mom has had him sleep in the crate several nights just so he knows that he can. Well housetrained and totally dependable, Ceasar has free roam of the house when his foster mom is working and he has been a perfect angel.
Ceasar rides well in the car and loves to go for walks. He likes to play fetch with a tennis ball or other toy. This handsome boy is great for home grooming, too.
Let this Ceasar conquer your heart! You will never be sorry!
