Original: “A family couldn’t ask for a nicer, sweeter and more perfect Springer than Caroline is.”
Caroline 2 and her sister Sasha 4 became MAESSR girls when their Ohio owners no longer had the time nor the finances to care for them properly. The demands of five children superseded the needs of the four-legged kids, and the Springers were relegated to living outdoors. When the word went out that this pair needed fostering, a MAESSR volunteer offered to take both since the girls had always lived together and are very attached to each other.
When Caroline first came into foster care, she was smelly and matted everywhere from her outdoor life. So, her foster mom immediately bathed her and then because of the severe matting, she had to shave her down completely. This may have been Caroline’s first grooming experience and she did well.
Caroline is very well-mannered, people-oriented, and loving. A family couldn’t ask for a nicer, sweeter and more perfect Springer! This girl is quiet, obedient, housetrained, and crate trained. When her foster mom is out of the house and at night, Caroline is crated and does nicely. Riding in her foster family’s van also means riding quietly in a crate. Coming into foster care with limited knowledge of commands other than an iffy “sit,” Caroline is expanding her repertoire quickly; she has shown nice leash manners from the start.
When her foster mom picked up Caroline and Sasha from their relinquishing family, she saw them interacting with the family’s children aged from toddlers on up, and saw how great both dogs are with the children. They are great with other dogs and cats, too. Caroline in not too much into playing; instead, she just likes to hang out with her people with Sasha and the resident dogs.
This young, healthy, loving Springer is looking for a wonderful family who would just love her back. How about bringing Caroline into your life?
