Camo and his brother Blaze are littermates who lived as outside dogs with their Pennsylvania family since they were six weeks old. Unfortunately, their family had to sell their home due to a job loss and could not find rental housing that would allow two large dogs. The family contacted MAESSR for help in finding their Springers new homes. Although Camo and Blaze have never bitten or snapped at people, they do not like each other. MAESSR separated them into different foster homes so they would not fight anymore.
Camo has done very well in his foster home, and he is enjoying being an inside dog. He just wants to be loved and to be close to his people. Although he has had two marking accidents, he quickly learned that foster mom yells at him when that happens. His adoptive home will need to keep a close eye on him for a few weeks to ensure that he has totally gotten the idea that he is supposed to go outside.
Crate-trained, Camo seems to like to have a place of his own to go to when he wants to rest or just chill out. He does not dig, chew, jump the fence, or beg for food, but he will jump on people for attention. When it is time for a car ride, Camo loves to come along and is a good passenger.
If you are looking for a Springer who is a love sponge, Camo is the pup for you. He wants as much attention as you can give him.
