Original:
When Caden was found wandering as a stray with his friend, Cole, it was their lucky day! They were brought to the shelter and when their hold time was up, MAESSR was contacted.
Caden needed an immediate haircut when he got to his foster home. His hair was a mess. He was totally blond!!! He has since learned that being liver-colored is more fun than being blonde. Caden let his foster mom shave him down, trim the hair between his pads of his feet, and clean his ears. He was wonderful through the whole process. He knew he was getting attention and figured the haircut was worth it.
Caden is a sweet, “mouthy” puppy boy that loves attention and wants to be with you. He is both house-trained and crate-trained. He does not counter-surf, but he will check out the trash can! When taken on a leash walk, he does pull a little in the excitement of being on a walk. A true puppy, Caden LOVES to play with toys. When he is done playing with his toys, he likes to wade in the kiddie pool at his foster home for a quick cool down. This pup is always ready for a ride in the car, too.
Caden’s foster mom is working with him to not be so mouthy, but when he is so excited to see you, he forgets to be a good boy. Because he is so mouthy, his foster mom would not recommend placing him with children under the age of fifteen. He loves to play with other dogs and does not seem to have a mean bone in his body. Caden will need a family that is committed to working with him through his “puppy mouthing” and willing to take him to an obedience class. This boy will be worth every bit of extra effort.
