Brutis was a much loved member of his family but, when the young boy in his home developed severe allergies, all the animals in the house needed to be re-homed.
Since his arrival Brutis has been a wonderful house guest with his foster family! After some initial shyness he warms up to people and becomes a huge snuggler. Brutis is good with all children and his foster dad is sure Brutus would love to have some in his new home. Brutus loves to give kisses and does not to jump on people to give them.
Inside he is an easy keeper and is allowed free roam of the house with no accidents. He does not counter-surf or go after the garbage. Housetrained, Brutis has submissively peed once or twice but his foster family expects this to end once he gets more comfortable with his new surroundings. If he had his way, Brutis would like to sleep with his human companions.
Brutis loves to run and play with the six resident canines. There was an assorted group of creatures in his original home that he lived with peacefully, though he is not known with cats. He is very athletic and loves to play with his toys in the backyard. One surprise is that Brutus is not too fond of the baby pool and will avoid it as much as possible.
In the car Brutis is a nervous rider, but he is getting better each time he goes for a drive. He knows the commands “sit” and “come,” and does not need to hear a loud voice when being told what to do.
He behaved wonderfully at the vet and charmed everyone he met, once he got over his initial nervousness. Upon exam the vet pronounced him to be a very healthy boy. He is at a perfect weight of 43 pounds and, as active as he is, he should stay around that weight. Brutis is very good around his food bowl even with the other dogs around. He has no qualms about people touching his food bowl either.
Brutis is looking for a nice loving family and once, he is over his initial shyness with them, they will have the most loving dog that they can imagine. He wants to be the best friend a dog can be more than anything else in the world! He’s simply a love!!!
