Original: Brewster is AKC registered, 60 pounds, and a very handsome, young guy. He lived with his family of young children and three other dogs until a change in the family caused his relinquishment to MAESSR. He came with good manners but still has tons of puppy energy and curiosity. Brewster is very healthy except for a mild yeast condition and a skin problem on top of his head and cheek that is being treated with medication. The vet said his skin problem would clear in 1 to 2 months with the medication and a nutritious diet.
This boy is all legs and runs like the wind. He is tall and lean like a greyhound. He will always be found carrying around a tennis ball or some chew toy. When he meets new people, he gets so excited he forgets sometimes how big and strong he is and jumps up to give kisses. His foster mom is working with him daily to tone down his jumping but not his kisses.
Brewster has adjusted well to the routine of his foster home. He is housetrained and walks well on a leash. He needs a lot of exercise and runs constantly in a large fenced yard these days. He has three friendly, energetic dogs next door that run the length of the fence for hours on end. Brewster would not do well if he could not run and play daily. He is a very social boy. His foster home includes his new best friend, an 8-year-old female springer.
Brewster does love to trash and counter surf. He is tall and lean and can easily reach the far spaces of any counter. When someone is cooking in the kitchen, he is kept out, so his surfing ability doesn’t get him hurt. He knows the command “no” and listens well when he starts to get curious. He has an excellent appetite and is not food aggressive.
Brewster’s trademark smile has already become a legend in his foster home. When his foster mom and he first came face to face, his right lip went up into the biggest ESS smile she had ever seen. He is a friendly and loving boy and needs a FOREVER home that can supply him with all the love he deserves.
