Updated 10/12/06: With just a little over a month in his foster home, Bojangles has made terrific headway toward his new beginning. One important step is that Bojangles now loves his crate. When he first arrived, it made him very nervous. He now sleeps peacefully in the crate at night and while his foster family is at work. Bo has made great progress in learning all the sounds and activities of living inside. Occasionally he will still be a bit frightened, but he now much prefers to be inside versus outside. Bo gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, but people are clearly his favorite.
The lucky family that helps Bojangles finish learning about life as an indoor dog will be greatly rewarded by all of the love this wiggly boy has to offer.
Original: Bojangles was with an all-breed rescue group in central Virginia. MAESSR was contacted and asked to help with finding this nice boy a permanent home. Poor Bo he had lived as an outside dog his entire life. He did not even know how to go up the two steps into his foster home. His foster parents are working to transition Bojangles to being an inside boy. He has made excellent progress in a short amount of time.
Children are at the top of Bojangles’ list of favorite people. He was playing with his foster family’s five-year-old grandson, and everything was going great until Bo ate the plastic Billy goat. The grandson was more than a little upset that the Billy goat was gone, but Bo didn’t know it was special. He was just tickled pink about getting to play with the youngster. Bojangles wiggles all over when he sees children and will make a great companion for a child.
More on this sweet boy as he continues to expand his horizons.
