Sweet old Bo found himself in a PA shelter at age 12, but MAESSR came to the rescue. When his foster family came to the shelter to get him, he got right into their car and has been making himself at home ever since. Bo is very lovable and is a great companion!
Bo knows the array of basic commands: sit, come, stay, and shake. He and the resident dog go for their walks together and then sit for their treats. He rides well in the car and sometimes he even thinks he’s the co-pilot! Isn’t that why dogs get licenses? Visiting the vet went nicely. He was very patient when blood was drawn and he was vaccinated. Bo has a fatty mass on his stomach but it does not bother him at all. The vet feels that it should not be removed due to his age. He is very healthy 12 year old. He even goes up and down stairs like a younger boy.
After he was bathed and groomed, Bo looks like a different dog. After two months at the shelter, he smells so much better too! Bo has lovely house manners. He is housebroken and he seldom barks. Bo goes right into his crate when told. He has been sleeping there, but his foster family is going to try allowing him out of his crate at night soon. He’s good with his canine foster brother and would be good as an only dog too. Although he likes a quiet lifestyle most of the time, he has been fine with his foster parents’ six-year-old grandson and other visitors. Bo would make a great buddy for a retired person looking for someone to walk with or go for rides in the car. Having his belly rubbed is something he loves, too!
Anyone wanting a senior buddy will find a good one in Bo. His foster family says he’s been a pleasure to know. How about making Bo your special buddy?
