Bo is brand new into rescue. He was saved from death by a rescue group in Ohio who shipped him to our foster home in Pennsylvania. What a sweetie. He is all puppy and will definitely require and obedience class. His only fault to date is that he likes to chew on straps. We’ll get more information on him soon.
More information on Bo.
First, we do believe Bo to be a purebred field bred Springer, hence the look.
Here is more news from his foster mom:
Bo is a high energy boy, loves to play, great with kids, good with other dogs! He’s now housetrained, no messes in the house, knows how to use the doggie door. He would be best with a home that has a fenced in yard! He does like to go hunting. His long tail just flows back and forth, very striking! He has not been around a gun being discharged. He does seem afraid of strange noises and will flee. Everything is new to this boy, even just coming into a house! He sits and cocks his head when the TV is on. He never was held before, but he is now and is getting to really like it! He likes going for car rides and is good in the car. He walks fairly well on leash. He’s really a quiet boy, doesn’t bark much, he will lay outside in the sun for a long time, no barking. He doesn’t whine or cry in the crate! He’s one of the nicest boys I’ve had and friendly and outgoing!
Update from his new family:
Things are going well with the addition of Bo-now Beau for Beauregard! My kids liked the name Beau so we kept his big change a little simpler by keeping his name the same. On his ride “home” he decided that he couldn’t possibly be a back seat passenger and as soon as he moved up front, he fell asleep for the ride home. My other Springer, Spencer, is still unsure about his new brother…they still square off for the dominance game. The cat has become a moving toy for Beau, but he means no harm in his affection! The first night in our house he could not be convinced to sleep on the floor with Spencer, so we left BOTH of them sleep in bed with us…we will work on that! Beau at least now somewhat acknowledges his name and he is slowly putting DOWN, NO, STAY and GOOD DOGGIE in his vocabulary! He is so cute when he finds something new to him…he cocks his head from side to side!
We’ll keep you posted on our news! Thanks again for all that you’ve done…it was worth the wait!!!
