Original: Bentley is a handsome, exuberant, energetic young springer who was relinquished to MAESSR because his owner was experiencing financial difficulties. Bentley considers himself a champion athlete who excels at many sports. He springs — and spins — at the same time. Often, his foster mom finds herself eye to eye with Bentley who is simply curious about what she has in her hands. He counter-surfs – except when the counter has been booby trapped to keep him off. Then, he completely ignores the counter. Bentley is also coaching his foster mom to improve her housekeeping skills by munching on shoes, plastic bottles, or anything that might be left in his reach. He is learning that these are not play toys but things he must leave alone. Bentley is completely house trained.
Bentley and the resident female springer play non-stop. She looks forward to Bentley being neutered very soon. Bentley is a high energy dog who loves walks and playing with toys, particularly tennis balls. Bentley’s leash skills are good, as well; there is only minimal pulling on the leash. He does tend to jump on people, but his foster mom is working with him on that behavior.
Bentley will need a home that can give him the exercise and stimulation he needs. Does your family fit this description?
