Benny has been adopted!
Original:
Ben is a wonderful old boy that was found as a stray in Spotslyvania County, VA by a good Samaritan. She contacted the local shelter and they told her to call us. Ben had such large mats on him that they hurt him when he walked. The good Samaritan started trimming mats and giving baths until she found a nice looking springer underneath. MAESSR does not usually take dogs of this age into foster care, but due to some unusual circumstances and a lot of luck on Ben’s part, he came into foster care.
Ben was obviously loved at one time in him life. He walked into my house and immediately knew the proper way to conduct himself inside. He also is VERY familiar with the refrigerator (he is a major chow hound!!). He is housebroken and does not get on furniture. He is good with other dogs and with cats. Children are unknown at this time. He does NOT like to be crated. His favorite activity is to be beside you while you love on him.
Ben was taken to the vet and is being treated for a yeast infection. He also has arthritis in his rear end. I put him on Move Free (a brand of Glucosamine/Chondroitin) and have seen MAJOR improvement. He acts like a puppy now. Ben has a beautiful smile that he displays constantly now.
Ben is so sweet and loving. He will make a wonderful addition to someone’s family. Are you Ben’s new family?
