When her New Jersey family could no longer care for their Springer Beauty, they contacted MAESSR for help in finding her a wonderful new family.
When she came into foster care, Beauty had an umbilical hernia, needed to be spayed, and required a lot of brushing, but she was overall in very good health. Her foster home has a resident male Springer in it and although she doesn’t play with him yet, she is good with him. This has been an affirmation that Beauty is good around other dogs; no negative canine interactions for her! She and the resident Springer share toys and have no aggression during feeding, walking, or fun time. A slow eater, Beauty is not food motivated, but rather motivated by closeness and companionship. Good girl!
Beauty loves to be close to her humans, sitting on their feet while they’re making dinner and lying on them in bed. At first she is more timid around men than women, but when she realizes that they are trying to love her, she warms up very quickly. Beauty loves to be petted and always offers her belly for a nice belly rub. She often puts her front paws on her person’s arm and looks into their eyes with a sweet face that no one could resist. When her people come home from work or even from the grocery store, Beauty gets very excited, so excited that she may leak a bit of urine. Otherwise, she is housebroken.
Quick at learning commands, Beauty can “sit,” “wait,”and “lie down” when told. She still jumps up on people, but is learning “off.” On leash, she pulls a bit and obviously is not used to this activity. She gets so excited when her person picks up her leash! Beauty loves car rides and is a very well-behaved passenger. When at her leisure, Beauty loves running around the backyard and playing with soft toys. This princess has been very good when being groomed and allows her people to work on her feet and ears without any complaining.
What this little Beauty wants most is a forever family to love her! That won’t be hard for some lucky family to do!
