Bandit came into MAESSR’s care as the result of a divorce. He was much loved but circumstances could not be worked out for him to stay with his family.
In his foster home, Bandit is living with several other dogs and does great with them. He handles being groomed well but is not very happy about you trimming his nails. Typical of springers, he likes to ride in the car and enjoys all outings. He knows the commands “sit”, “down,” “shake,” and “high 5.” Bandit has not counter surfed anything in his foster home but is not above grabbing any food that hits the floor. He is housetrained and reliable in his home, so his preference for not being crated works for everyone.
Bandit was showing significant anxiety when he got to his foster home. He would bark at any man that moved but was fine with females. With a bit of trial and error, it was discovered that Bandit was not going to hurt anyone. In fact, if the male crouched down and gave Bandit a couple of seconds to figure it out, Bandit would end up giving him tons of kisses. To help with any anxiety through the adoption process, Bandit was started on an inexpensive medication.
This Bandit will steal your heart. Follow his progress toward adoption
