Original: Bandit is an incredibly affectionate puppy with an insane amount of energy. He enjoys playing with other dogs, walking on the mountain, and swimming in the pond. He is also a great hunting partner and does not run off when off leash. He is easy to train and just wants to follow you around. His foster parents affectionately refer to him as their shadow.
This boy came into MAESSR’s care after a brief stay with a lady who offered to take him off her neighbor’s hands. In his original home Bandit was living outdoors in a pen with goats and kept escaping. His relinquishing family intended to keep him but one of the dogs in that home had a problem with Bandit and constantly picked on him.
Bandit is still working on getting used to being in a kennel at times. His foster parents want him to feel comfortable with the kennel in case he ever needs to be boarded. When not working on his crate training, he has the run of the house which is the majority of the time. Bandit does have a need to be close to his people. This tends to attract him to personal items such as shoes and pantyhose. Needless to say, his foster parents are careful not to leave these things laying around for him to chew on. He likes to get on the bed and other furniture, so his foster family is always on the lookout for his sneakiness.
Still a puppy at heart, Bandit brings great joy to his foster family. He is adorable, charming, mischievous, and full of surprises. He will make a great addition to anyone’s family as long as they have the time, and energy, to entertain the little guy, and be entertained!!!
